To the Point by the Dalai Lama

When we face problems or disagreements today, we have to arrive at solutions through dialogue. Dialogue is the only appropriate method. One-sided victory is no longer acceptable. We must work to resolve conflicts in a spirit of reconciliation, always keeping others’ interests in mind.

    • I love the quote. It reminds me of one of the few Sunday School soslens I remember from my grade school years that focused on how joy comes from service. On a side note, my daughters have discovered they’re happiest when they have work to do. They whine less and treat each other better when they have chores to do than on days when I don’t have them do anything. I think it’s the principle of service at work here, too.
